After several months of preparation, PROTECT-HERITAGE held its kick-off meeting last Friday 25th February with the participation of the project partners and the European Commission’s Task Manager in charge of the project.
Also, the Italian Ambassador to Lebanon gave an introductory speech, in addition to the several speeches and welcoming words of different high-rank officers of the Carabinieri HQs and the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, the latter being the Project Coordinator.
The online kick-off meeting was the occasion to launch the project, to finalise project management and administrative procedures and to set the path for the first project activities that will be implemented in Lebanon in the upcoming months in support of Lebanese beneficiaries.
